Join our SUP2CF team as we stand up paddle board 26 nautical miles (30 miles) around Bournemouth bay.

We will SUP around the beautiful Bournemouth bay, going up to the iconic sights of Old Harry Rocks and across to Hengistbury Head. On arrival to Bournemouth beach, there will be a post-SUP gathering, with more details to follow.

Children with CF often pronounce their cystic fibrosis condition as sixty-five roses™, now a trademarked term by the CF Trust and commonly used in the CF community. To honour this, as we launch into the salty waters we will scatter 65 roses at sea – for those lost and for those living in hope.

Our exact launch time will be early in the morning, around 5am, but this will be confirmed nearer the time based on conditions.

Everyone is welcome to join our SUP2CF team, whether you love to SUP or you loathe CF, or you simply want to be part of our sea of boarders to make a wave of difference. Measures are being taken to welcome CF Warriors, so please feel free to join us.

Follow us on Instagram @sup2cf and Facebook for news as we approach the UK's first Stand Up to Cystic Fibrosis event.

Registration fees are to cover the cost of running this non-profit event. All participants are raising funds for the CF Trust and will be invited to join our SUP2CF Team JustGiving page after registering.

Registration closes 25th April 2020. This event is limited to 100 entrants.

SUP Safety

We acknowledge that this event requires support and safety along our route, so we will have full boat support provided by local organisations and skippers.

It is advised to train for this event, and a SUP training guide will be provided to all registrants for those who wish to follow it.

Due to the nature of this event, it is not a timed competition. Just the achievement of completing this for the cause is ample. But of course feel free to time yourself with a waterpoof device if you want to try to beat your time next year.

Our sea-savvy aids will monitor the weather as the day nears, but we of course can only launch in suitable conditions. Should the weather or sea not be on our side on the day, we will have to reschedule and unfortunately no refunds can be given should you not be able to attend on the revised date.

All entrants must be aged 18 and over.
